Set up a Direct Debit to pay your BT bill

It's simple to set up a Direct Debit online in My BT. Have your bank or building society account number and sort code to hand, and follow the simple online steps.

Once your Direct Debit is set up, you’ll pay your whole bill on the due date on your bill, usually 8 days after the bill date.

Please note: You'll need to pay any money owed before setting up a Direct Debit.

 

Types of Direct Debit

There are two types of Direct Debit you can set up:

  • Whole Bill Direct Debit - automatically pay the whole of each bill when it's due by Direct Debit
  • Monthly Payment Plan - spread the cost of your quarterly bill by making fixed monthly payments by Direct Debit, based on an estimate.
