About your BT Mobile bill

Wondering when your BT Mobile bill will arrive or what it includes? This guide explains how billing works, what charges to expect, and how BT Mobile fits into your existing account.

When will I get my first bill?

If you don’t have other BT products, your first BT Mobile bill should arrive about 30 days after you ordered.

You’ll see mobile charges and allowances calculated from the date you ordered BT Mobile to your bill date. You’ll also see the full monthly charge for the next month.

Switching from quarterly to monthly bills

When you add BT Mobile to your account, all your services will move to monthly billing.

If you order BT Mobile in the first or second month of the quarterly cycle, you'll see:

  • monthly charges for BT Mobile (you’ve already paid for your other services in advance)
  • monthly usage charges for all other products

At the end of that quarterly cycle, your bill will show monthly charges for all products in advance.

Will I see BT Mobile on my main BT bill?

Yes, if you're already a BT customer. This may change a few things. BT Mobile bills are issued monthly and must be paid in full by direct debit. So if your existing bills come every quarter, we'll move them to a monthly whole bill direct debit.

Whole bill direct debit means we’ll take the full amount each month.

We’ll handle this for you and explain any new charges on your bill. You don’t need to do anything.

Will I see usage charges on my bill?

Yes. As the bill payer, you'll see a breakdown of your calls and texts, as well as daily data rates.

Can I have BT Mobile on a separate bill from my other BT products?

No. We'll add BT Mobile to your usual bill. This lets you see and manage all your spending in one place.

What happens if I have more than one billing account with BT?

When you order, we'll ask you which one you'd like us to add BT Mobile to.
