Changes to discovery+ on EE TV boxes

From 22 September 2025, the discovery+ app will no longer be supported on some EE TV boxes. This article explains which TV boxes are affected, how to upgrade your device, and alternative ways to keep watching discovery+ without interruption.

What you need to do

If your EE TV box no longer supports discovery+ and you want to keep watching you’ll need to upgrade to a newer box to continue watching on your TV. Your discovery+ subscription won’t be affected, and you can continue to watch on supported devices.

To upgrade your TV box, call us on 0800 800 150 and we’ll guide you through the process.

If you’ve been asked to return your old TV box once you’ve upgraded, you can find return instructions on this page: BT return and recycle.

You should know

Recordings won’t transfer if you upgrade your EE TV box: Any shows or movies saved on your current box won’t be available on your new one.

You can still watch TNT Sports: Even if discovery+ is no longer supported on your box, you’ll still be able to watch TNT Sports channels through the EE TV guide.

Other ways to watch discovery+: You can still use the app on devices such as smart TVs, tablets, laptops, and smartphones. For a full list of supported devices, visit this discovery+ support page.
