Other Legal Stuff

Battery Registration Number

As BT sells batteries with some of our products, we need to make you aware of our Battery Producer Registration Number (BPRN). This means that we have registered with a waste battery scheme and that we help to finance the disposal of batteries, in a way that will minimise the impact on the environment. BT’s Batteries Producer Registration Number is BPRN00390.

SVHCs in BT products

The BT Group are committed to managing our environmental impacts.

To help protect our customer's health and the environment, we regulate and control the use of hazardous substances in every product BT Group sell and all products must conform to the following legislations.

  • Restriction of Hazardous substances legislation (RoHS)
  • Persistent Organic Pollutants legislation (POPs)
  • Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals legislation, commonly referred to as REACH.

To comply with REACH legislation manufacturers must disclose to customers if any Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs) are present within the product above the disclosed threshold. Rest assured that the SVHCs used in BT products are not a safety risk to customers under normal use.

Reporting Security Issues

To report a security issue with a BT product, please see our Responsible Disclosures Policy.

Software Support

BT offers a minimum period of product support service to its customers from the sales start of the product. Product support service includes necessary firmware updates to BT devices and fixes for critical vulnerability as required. BT constantly monitors the releases of known vulnerabilities.

The specific minimum period for your product is listed in the Product Support document.
