Prime Video is available on all current 4K recordable, recordable and non-recordable TV boxes.
If you have an older recordable TV box, which looks like the one below, it won't have access to the Prime Video app. Contact us and ask for an upgrade to our current recordable TV box.
You can also watch Prime Video on thousands of eligible devices, such as smartphones, tablets and computers. For more information, take a look at Amazon's website >
There's no limit to how many devices you can have on your account.
Yes - just enter your account details into the Prime Video player on your TV box.
If you have EE TV, watching Prime Video on your EE TV box won't count towards your broadband usage. If you watch Prime Video on any other devices in the home connected to your BT Broadband, then it will count. But if you have an unlimited broadband package, you don't need to worry about this.
If you don't have EE TV and have a limited broadband package, watching Prime Video on your TV box will contribute to your monthly allowance.
With all BT Broadband packages, your internet speed could slow down if you use any streaming services, (including those on EE TV), at the same time as using the broadband for other purposes.
If you have a parental PIN set up on your EE TV box, you'll be asked to enter this when launching the Prime Video Player. You won't be asked to enter the PIN again when watching Amazon content.
Amazon also have their own parental controls, which have a separate PIN. If you have parental controls set up on your Amazon account, you'll be prompted to enter your PIN when watching content via the EE TV box. If you haven't set up a PIN on Amazon, purchases will be done via a single click.
You can watch Prime Video on any device that supports it, including another EE TV box. However, there's a limit to the number of screens you can watch it on at the same time, which varies. To find out more, visit Amazon's Help & Customer Service page >
Prime Video offers titles in standard definition (SD), with some content available in High Definition (HD) or Ultra High Definition (UHD) too. To watch any available content in Ultra HD, you'll need our 4K recordable TV box or TV Box Pro. Find out more about Ultra HD here >
Prime Video is a monthly membership service that you pay for in advance. You'll be billed for this every month - on or around the date that you activated your service - unless you cancel.
You can no longer take Prime Video through BT, however existing customers with the monthly-rolling add-on will continue to have access on EE TV as usual unless they choose to remove the add-on. .
If your monthly bill comes through BT and you wish to rent or buy films or TV shows outside of your Prime Video membership, you'll need to have a credit or debit card registered with Amazon. All purchases and rentals will appear on your Amazon account and not on your BT bill.
To change to Amazon Prime or Prime Student, you'll need to do this via www.amazon.co.uk. This will automatically switch your service over to Amazon and your monthly payment will no longer be on your BT bill. This could take up to 30 days.
If you switch membership part way through a month you've already paid for, we'll refund you for any days that you haven't used.
Existing customers can stop the auto-renewal of their Prime Video account by logging in to My BT or giving us a call. Once you cancel your Prime Video monthly rolling add-on you won’t be able to take it again through us.
You won't have to pay a cancellation fee. However, we won't refund you for any days you've already paid for. Instead you'll have access to the service until the date that the membership would have auto-renewed - you can find this on your bill.
If you cancel your EE TV service, your access to Prime Video will end on the same day that your EE TV does. If you've already paid for that month's access to Prime Video, we'll add a refund for the days missed to your BT bill. Once you cancel your Prime Video monthly rolling add-on you won’t be able to take it again through us.
If you move home, there'll be no break in your Prime Video service as long as you keep EE TV. You'll still be able to access it on any Prime Video compatible device.
